CrunchLabs

Every month or every 2 months, a CrunchLabs box arrives with a toy to build and videos that explain the engineering idea behind it. The company was founded by YouTuber and former NASA engineer Mark Rober.

Kids and teens who like building and tinkering are the audience here. The site lists Creative Kit for ages 6–10, Build Box for 8–13, and Hack Pack, a robotics and coding line that needs a computer, for ages 14 and up.

We’d check three things before subscribing: the line’s age range, the plan length, and the auto-renewal date. Subscription boxes can’t be returned, and some CrunchLabs ready-to-play toys are also sold through other retailers.

Which CrunchLabs subscription fits my child’s age?

It depends on the line. When we checked in October 2026, CrunchLabs listed Creative Kit for ages 6–10 and Build Box for ages 8–13, both delivered every month.

Hack Pack is listed for ages 14–101, ships every 2 months, and needs a Mac, Windows, or Chromebook computer for coding.

How do I cancel a CrunchLabs subscription?

Turn off auto-renewal in your My Account portal at least 3 days before your next billing date.

CrunchLabs says most subscriptions aren’t eligible for early cancellation.

Can I return a CrunchLabs box?

Not a subscription box. Subscription Creative Kits, Build Boxes, and Hack Packs can’t be returned or refunded, except for EU customers.

Other store items can be returned within 60 days if unused and undamaged, and you pay return shipping.

How much is CrunchLabs shipping in the US?

$2.95, when we checked in October 2026, for Creative Kits, Build Boxes, and Hack Packs shipped anywhere in the US, including Alaska, Hawaii, and military addresses.

If parts are missing or damaged, you can order replacement parts from your account, and most are free.
