Walmart

Weekly errands and gift runs both fit Walmart. It sells toys in US stores and on Walmart.com, where third-party Marketplace sellers list items too, and orders can be picked up, delivered from a store, or shipped.

It’s a practical choice on a budget, or when you need a gift the same day from a nearby store. Marketplace listings widen the range, though they come with their own return windows and shipping charges.

We’d check who sells the toy, Walmart or a Marketplace seller, since most Marketplace sellers allow 30 days for returns. The age grade on the box, battery needs, and whether a collectible is final sale deserve a look too.

How long do I have to return a toy to Walmart?

90 days for most items, under Walmart’s return policy updated August 17, 2026.

Most Marketplace seller items have a 30-day window, so check who sells the toy before you order.

Does Walmart extend returns for holiday gifts?

Yes. When we checked in October 2026, most items bought October 1 through December 31 could be returned until January 31.

Walmart lists exceptions such as wireless phones, protection plans, major appliances, and select seasonal goods.

Which toys can’t be returned to Walmart?

Trading cards, opened or unopened, and collectibles such as Labubu items are on Walmart’s final sale list.

So are gas-powered recreational vehicles, such as ride-ons, scooters, and dirt bikes.

Is there a minimum for free shipping or pickup at Walmart?

Yes, $35. Shipping orders under $35 carry a $6.99 below-minimum fee unless you’re a Walmart+ member, and pickup orders under $35 have a below-minimum fee too.

Marketplace items count toward the $35 but may have their own shipping charges.
