Target

An ordinary Target run can cover toys too, in its US stores or on Target.com, where Target Plus partners also list items. Orders can ship, or you can use Order Pickup or Drive Up at a local store.

It’s handy for families who’d rather fold toy buying into errands they already run. Target Circle Card holders and Target Circle 360 members get an extra 30 days on most returns.

One thing to check first: whether a toy is sold by Target or a Target Plus partner, since partner items have a 30-day window. Collectibles, trading cards, and electronics follow their own return rules.

How long do I have to return a toy to Target?

90 days for most unopened items in new condition, when we checked in October 2026.

Target Owned Brand items get one year with a receipt, and Target Plus partner items get 30 days.

Which toys are final sale at Target?

Trading cards and trading card accessories, such as Pokémon cards and binders.

Opened or defective collectibles, like special edition Barbie dolls, action figures, and die-cast cars, can’t be returned either.

Is there a minimum for free shipping at Target?

Yes, $35, though it isn’t the only route. Target offers free 2-day shipping on eligible items when you spend $35, pay with a Target Circle Card, or are a Target Circle 360 member.

Does Target price match?

Yes, against its own prices. Target matches a lower price from Target.com or your local Target store on an identical item bought that day or in the past 14 days.

Its help page lists exclusions such as closeout items and items that come with a promotional gift card.
