Hape

Railway sets, play kitchens, marble runs, dollhouses, and musical instruments in wood are the pieces most people link to Hape. Its US store lists roughly 600 toys, from baby rattles and push toys to balance bikes.

The range suits babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, and families who prefer wood for everyday play. Most items in the US store are tagged for ages 3 and up, with a smaller baby range for 0–12 months.

We’d look at the age grade, any small-parts warning, and whether a set needs batteries. Returns from Hape’s US store must be unused and unopened within 30 days, so keep the box sealed until you’re sure.

What does Hape say about testing and materials?

Hape’s FAQ says its toys are inspected by an independent testing facility to ASTM standards and use water-based paints and lacquers.

Even so, check the maker’s age and safety guidance on each box.

What is Hape’s return policy for US store orders?

Request a return within 30 days of receiving the order. When we checked in October 2026, items had to be unused, unopened, complete, and in original packaging.

You pay return shipping, and Hape asks you to contact Customer Care before sending anything back.

Does Hape offer a warranty?

Yes, a limited warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship for the original buyer.

Claims must be made within 180 days of purchase, with proof of purchase.

Is there a free shipping minimum on Hape’s US store?

Yes, $50. When we checked in October 2026, standard shipping was free on orders of $50 or more within the contiguous United States.

The US store did not ship internationally.
