How long do I have to return a toy to Macy’s?

30 days for most purchases, by mail or in store, per Macy’s help center as of January 2026.

For holiday 2025, Macy’s extended returns on most purchases made October 6 to December 31, 2025, until January 31, 2026.

Is return shipping free at Macy’s?

For some buyers. Store returns are free, and Star Rewards members get free return shipping.

Other buyers had a $9.99 return shipping fee deducted from the refund, per the January 2026 policy.

What is Macy’s free-shipping minimum?

$49 before tax. As of January 2026, Macy’s listed free standard shipping on $49+ pre-tax orders to the contiguous US for buyers without a Macy’s card.

Orders under that amount had a $10.95 standard shipping charge.

Do toys from third-party sellers follow the same rules?

No. Items shipped and sold by third-party sellers must be returned to the seller within 30 days of purchase.

They also aren’t eligible for Macy’s 10-day price adjustment.
