Michaels

Yarn, frames, craft kits, art supplies, and party goods line the aisles at Michaels, a US arts and crafts chain. Its site also hosts Marketplace and MakerPlace listings from third-party sellers.

Families planning a craft afternoon, a party, or a classroom project can find kids’ kits and art supplies here. Its stores also host classes and kids’ birthday parties.

One detail changes the fine print: whether an item is sold by Michaels or by a Marketplace seller, since returns and shipping differ. On kids’ kits, check the maker’s age grade, small parts, and any tools or materials that need adult help.

How long do I have to return a Michaels purchase?

60 days for michaels.com purchases that are new, unused, and in original packaging, when we checked in October 2026.

You can return online orders to any Michaels store or start a return in your online account.

Do Marketplace and MakerPlace items follow the same rules?

Not always. Each Marketplace and MakerPlace seller sets its own return and shipping policy, shown on the listing or the seller’s page.

These items can’t be returned in Michaels stores.

Does Michaels match prices?

Online, yes. Its Online Price Guarantee adjusts a michaels.com order if you find the identical item for less within 7 days, at michaels.com or an eligible online retailer.

In stores, Michaels doesn’t match competitors’ prices but will match its own michaels.com price on in-stock items.

Is free shipping available at Michaels?

Yes, once the subtotal meets the free-shipping minimum after coupons and discounts, before taxes, according to Michaels’ shipping policy.

Oversized charges, Marketplace and MakerPlace items, and orders to Alaska and Hawaii are excluded from free-shipping promotions.
