Couch cushions that turn into forts, slides, and reading nooks are the idea behind Nugget’s foam play couches, which ship from its factory in Butner, North Carolina. The core pieces are the Nugget, the Smore, and the Chunk, sold in many fabric colors and some licensed designs.

Families with toddlers and young kids who want a soft place to climb and build indoors are the natural audience. Nugget lists the Nugget for ages 1+, the Smore for ages 2+, and the Chunk for ages 3+.

Start with the maker’s age and safety guidance: Nugget says adult supervision is required and its products are not for sleeping. We’d also check the box size, the 30-day window for unopened returns, and whether a collaboration design can be returned.

What ages is each Nugget piece made for?

Ages 1+ for the Nugget, 2+ for the Smore, and 3+ for the Chunk, according to Nugget’s product manual.

The manual also says adult supervision is required and the pieces are not for sleeping.

Can I return a Nugget couch?

Usually, if it’s unopened and unused. When we checked in October 2026, most unopened, unused Nugget products could be returned within 30 days of delivery, minus a $15–$25 return charge.

Opened items, collaboration products, gift cards, and Final Sale items were not returnable.

Does Nugget charge for shipping?

Not to the contiguous US. Nugget’s shipping FAQ says its products ship free there.

Alaska and Hawaii add $69 per Nugget, Chunk, or Smore, and Nugget doesn’t ship to PO boxes.

How long is the Nugget warranty?

It runs 2 years on the Nugget and 1 year on the Chunk and Smore, covering manufacturing defects in foam and fabric under Nugget’s limited warranty.

It covers only the original buyer from nuggetcomfort.com or a Nugget storefront on an authorized marketplace, with proof of purchase.
