Our verdict

Classic Class 12 is Megatron in his final Transformers One form, a 71-piece snap-fit kit about 5 inches tall, rated 12+ at $19.99. Blokees lists light-up eyes and chest, full articulation, his weapons, swap hands and two display stands. It is the fewest pieces of the Transformers One kits here and the movie rival of Classic Class 11 Optimus Prime.

We read 27 owner reviews on Blokees' store; 19 give five stars and 2 give one star. Owners like the menacing light-up eyes, the easy build and a hidden cog Easter egg. Two owners find him skinny or smaller than expected. The two one-star reviews call the parts flimsy and hard to fit.

It suits Transformers One fans 12 and up who want a quick kit and plan to pair him with Optimus. Skip it if you want a bulkier Megatron; owners point to his slim build.

Fun to build and poses well, but he is skinnier than they hoped and could be bulkier.

A little smaller than expected, but well detailed, and the light-up eyes look menacing.

Found the parts flimsy and impossible to put together, and left it unbuilt.
