Our verdict

Make a Pie is an eeBoo fraction game for ages 5 and up, listed at $26.99. Players spin for pie slices and fit them together to complete whole pies cut into halves, thirds, fourths, eighths and sixteenths. Each pie is 8.6 inches across, with art by Sarah Walsh, and the game won an Oppenheim Gold Award.

eeBoo says the board is made from recycled board and printed with vegetable-based inks. We found no owner reviews on eeBoo’s page, so we can only describe the maker’s claims and contents.

It suits a 5- to 8-year-old who is starting to see that pieces make a whole. Skip it for kids who already work comfortably with fractions; the game will feel too easy.
