Our verdict

World Adventures is Little Passports’ monthly subscription for ages 6 to 10. Each month explores a country: the first box goes to Brazil with a build-it-yourself macaw mobile, a travel journal, a passport, stickers, a collectible coin and a poster-sized world map. It costs $32 a month, $27 a month on a 6-month plan ($162) or $25 a month on a 12-month plan ($300), with free shipping in the contiguous US.

We found only undated testimonials on Little Passports’ own page, which say kids get excited when the package arrives and enjoy learning about other cultures. We did not find dated owner reviews we could cite, so weigh that before buying a long plan.

It suits a 6- to 9-year-old who likes maps, stories and crafts. Skip it if you don’t want a recurring charge; all plans renew automatically unless you turn renewal off.
