Our verdict

Set JLK39 builds a 1:16 scale 1984 Audi Sport quattro from Mattel Brick Shop bricks. Mattel Creations lists it at $54 for ages 10+, and Mattel’s US shop lists 864 pieces. The box adds a decal sheet, two sets of wheel covers (one in metal), a metal signature plate and a matching 1:64 metal car.

We found no owner reviews we could read on Mattel’s sites. Mattel says the trunk and hood open, the steering works, and the bricks are smooth resin that work with other building brands.

It suits car fans who like rally history and want a brick build plus a small die-cast. Skip it if the builder only uses LEGO and expects the same feel, or wants a car for rough play.
