Our verdict

This Mudpuppy puzzle has 300 pieces and finishes in the shape of a spaceship, about 23 by 16 inches, filled with planets, spacecraft and satellites. Mudpuppy rates it for ages 7 and up and says the board is 90% recycled with nontoxic inks. It was $12.59 on Oct 6, 2026, down from $17.99.

It has a single owner review on Mudpuppy’s site. That parent liked the art and the odd-shaped edge, but noted there is no poster to work from and the pieces fit loosely, so sections fall apart when moved.

It suits a 7- or 8-year-old who has done 100-piece puzzles and likes space. Skip it if your child gets frustrated without a reference picture; the box image is the only guide.

Fun art a nearly 5-year-old could help with and an enjoyable odd-shaped edge, but no poster, and loose pieces mean sections fall apart when moved.
