Our verdict

The Rainbow Ring Drop is Sassy's answer to babies pulling tissues from a box: a clear box with a soft top flap, plus textured rings attached to crinkly patterned fabric that babies post in and pull out. Each side of the box looks different: clear, frosted, striped or magnified. It is sold for $20 on the Manhattan Toy store, which carries the Sassy brand, for 0 to 12 months.

The page shows one review, at 5 stars, which is too few to say much. Sassy says the rings double as teethers and the fabric helps babies pull them back out.

It suits babies who are into putting things in and taking them out. Skip it if you want a toy that will last well past the first year.
