Which Blokees Marvel Rivals Kit Should You Buy First?

You have logged the hours in Marvel Rivals. You have a main. Now you want that character on your desk, posed mid-fight. Blokees makes Champion Class model kits of the game's heroes, and they are surprisingly different from one another: one is a tiny land shark, one is a walking mech, one comes with four bendable tentacles.

The short answer: buy your main. If you do not have one, Spider-Man CC06 is the easy starting point at $19.99 and 83 pieces. Jeff the Land Shark is the cheapest and quickest build at $17.99. Six kits side by side

All six are snap-fit kits with pre-colored parts. No glue, no paint, no cutters. You do need to build them, so if the gift is for someone who wants a figure ready to pose straight out of the box, tell them that up front.

Spider-Man CC06: the friendly first kit

Red and blue suit, web gauntlets, a web-shooting effect and three sets of hands. This is the kit that makes sense to almost anyone who sees it on your shelf, and at 83 pieces it is a relaxed first build. One owner finished in 20 to 30 minutes.

Pose him crouched on a monitor stand with the web effect firing, and you have the classic Spidey shot. With 42 points of articulation, he can get low.

What owners say: This kit has more owner reviews on Blokees' store than the other Blokees kits we cover, and they are more mixed. Many owners love the look and posing range. Others report arms or legs that pop off easily, a tight ab joint and a few missing or broken parts.

Skip it if: it is for rough play. Also check the name: Spider-Man Chasm CC25 is a separate kit in a different suit.

Jeff CC12: small, cheap and impossible not to smile at

Jeff is the mascot of this lineup. He is the cheapest kit at $17.99, the smallest at about 4.60 inches, and the quickest at 71 pieces. His head spins all the way around, his jaw opens, and you get Water Blast and Land Diving effects plus swap eyes and tongue.

He is the perfect desk buddy next to a keyboard, and an easy gift for a Rivals player whose main you do not know. Nobody dislikes Jeff.

What owners say: We read 26 owner reviews, averaging 4.7 out of 5, the highest of the six. Most call it cute, quick and easy, and one rates the difficulty about 5 or 6 out of 10. The few low scores are about shipping costs and crushed boxes, not the kit.

Skip it if: you want a tall figure to stand with the humanoid heroes, or a long, involved build.

Venom CC07: four tentacles and a lot of attitude

Venom is the showpiece. Four bendable back tentacles, a rotating tongue and an attack-effect hand let you build a pose that fills a shelf. With the tentacles attached, Blokees counts up to 90 points of articulation.

That drama comes with a warning. The tentacle pegs are the weak spot, so build him once, pose him carefully and then let him be.

What owners say: We read 23 owner reviews, averaging 4.0 out of 5. Owners love the look and call the build fun. Twelve of the 23 mention a peg or joint snapping, most often at the tentacles. Toy Hype USA's hands-on review also saw tentacles come out during posing.

Skip it if: you plan to swap tentacles and arms often, or you expect a figure as big as a 6-inch Marvel Legends. It runs smaller.

Peni Parker SP//DR CC09: a mech with a light inside

If you love building machines, this is your kit. SP//DR is a spider mech with a light glowing inside, 77 points of articulation and spindly legs you can splay into a crouch. At about 6.10 inches it is the tallest of the six.

Peni herself comes as a small statue on a platform, not a posable figure. Think of her as the pilot standing beside her machine.

What owners say: We read 12 owner reviews, averaging 4.6 out of 5. Owners like the detail and the light, and one calls it among their favorite builds. Four say small parts like thumbs, arms and spider legs come loose, and four wish Peni were painted or posable.

Skip it if: you want Peni as a painted, posable figure, or loose parts during posing would drive you up the wall.

Invisible Woman CC11: the force-field scene

Sue Storm comes with a translucent Force Shield and Psionic Energy parts, so she reads as mid-ability from across the room. A display stand is included, and the suit colors come pre-painted.

At $19.99 and 80 pieces she matches Spider-Man in price and build size. Put the two together and you have a two-hero desk scene for $40.

What owners say: We read 25 owner reviews, averaging 4.4 out of 5. Owners like the pre-painted parts, the clear instructions and the price. The complaints center on the knee joint, plus two boxes with missing or broken parts.

Skip it if: you want swap faces, since owners say there is only one, or deep poses that need thigh swivels.

Moon Knight CC10: the cape you can shape

Moon Knight's draw is the cape. Owners call it soft and posable, so you can sweep it out behind him or wrap it close. He comes with weapon accessories and three sets of hands, and Blokees lists 40 points of articulation.

Make sure you are buying the Marvel Rivals version, not a TV or comic one. The listing does not give a built height, so allow a little extra shelf room.

What owners say: We read 16 owner reviews, averaging 4.4 out of 5, and 13 recommend it. The cape gets the most praise. Two owners report missing pieces, including the hood and the cape connector.

Spider-Man or Jeff?

Spider-Man is the classic hero pose at $19.99. Jeff is $2 cheaper, a full inch shorter and has the happiest owners of the six. If you are buying for someone else and do not know their main, Jeff is the surer bet for a smile.

Venom or Peni?

Both are $27.99 and both are the big builds. Venom is muscle and tentacles. Peni is a machine with a glowing cockpit. Owners report more breakages on Venom's tentacles, so if the builder is heavy-handed, lean Peni.

Three tips before you click buy

Measure the pose, not just the figure. A standing Spider-Man fits anywhere. Venom with tentacles spread or Peni crouched needs real width. Cut a paper outline and set it on the shelf.

Build on a tray. Several owners lost time to tiny parts. A baking tray or a shallow box keeps pegs from rolling off the desk.

Check the box on arrival. A few owners got missing parts. Blokees takes defect part requests only within 15 days of receipt, so open and count early.
