Our verdict

The MG 1/100 Destiny Gundam is Bandai's Master Grade kit of Shinn Asuka's mobile suit from Gundam SEED Destiny. Premium Bandai USA listed it in stock for $65. Bandai lists wings whose small flaps move as they open, collar and pull-out shoulder joints, clear beam effects for the sword and boomerangs, five weapons, two small pilot figures, and a display stand. The Japanese box label rates it 15+, and the store gives a target age of 15 and up.

We read the seven owner reviews on the USA Gundam Store page for this kit, all five stars, and most are about shipping. One builder back after a four-year break found it fun and says it looks good in any pose. Another calls it a great kit but says the Extreme Blast version has more visual pop.

It suits a teen who has built a few smaller kits and wants a winged MG with plenty of weapons for posing. Skip it if you want the glowing Wings of Light look, which this kit does not include, or if you need easy returns; Premium Bandai USA accepts no exchanges or returns.

Mixed
A great kit, but the owner says the Extreme Blast version has more visual pop, and suggests looking for aftermarket Wings of Light parts to dress it up.
