Our verdict

MGSD Gundam Aerial puts Master Grade engineering into a short, super-deformed body. Bandai lists an inner frame with metallic silver parts, front armor that lifts so the legs can move, clear parts that open, and swap-in shell units for the glowing Permet Score Six look. The shield breaks apart into separate bits. It comes with a beam rifle, two beam sabers, effect parts and a marking sticker. Bandai rates it 15+, and USA Gundam Store listed it at $50.99, describing it as about 4.5 inches tall.

All 10 reviews we read on USA Gundam Store are five stars. Owners praise the inner frame, color separation and posing, and several say it took a day or two to build. One found a couple of steps unclear on part placement, and two recommend buying a stand, plus the separate weapon display base if you want all the bits in the air.

It suits a fan of The Witch from Mercury who has built a few kits and wants a detailed small figure. Skip it for a beginner, or if you would rather spend this much on a larger 1/144 kit.
