Czech Games Edition Little Alchemists CGE00119

Little Alchemists is a family deduction game from Czech Games Edition, designed by Matúš Kotry: players combine ingredient tiles, scan them with a companion app to see what potion they make, and sell potions to customers. Earning keys unlocks six sealed boxes that add components and rules chapter by chapter. CGE rates it for ages 7 and up, 2 to 4 players and 20 to 40 minutes, and lists the app on the App Store and Google Play. CGE's US store had it at $49.99 and in stock on October 7, 2026.

On BoardGameGeek it has 552 ratings averaging 7.77 out of 10, with a weight of 2.16 out of 5. Owners in the comments we read describe children from about 6 to 10 asking to play again and again, a gentle first level that grows into a real deduction game, and an app they rate highly; one family says nothing is destroyed as you progress and their kids reset it to level 1 to replay. The critical comments object to needing a phone at the table and to downtime between turns.

It suits families with children around 7 to 12 who will play often enough to work through the chapters, and parents who are fine with a phone or tablet on the table. Skip it if you want a screen-free game, or if you only play occasionally, since much of the value is in unlocking the later boxes.
