Our verdict

The Interactive Adventure Train is a 57-piece DUPLO set for ages 2 and up built around a battery-powered train. LEGO lists 14 track pieces, 3 destination builds (a park, beach, station or family home) and action bricks that make the train play sounds as it rolls over them. A free LEGO DUPLO Interactive Trains app lets kids drive the train and record their own sounds for a customization brick. It needs 4 AAA batteries, not included.

We found no owner reviews yet. Brickset has no member reviews or ratings for it, and we could not read LEGO.com reviews. LEGO's own text is inconsistent: one passage says 3 action bricks and another says 5, and LEGO lists 4 figures while Brickset lists 2. We could not confirm which is right.

It suits a 2 to 5 year old who likes trains and a family with floor space, since the assembled loop is about 27.5 by 22.5 in. Skip it if you want a toy with no batteries or screens, or if the price for 57 pieces is hard to justify for a short-lived interest.
