Our verdict

The Pale Garden is a 243-piece Minecraft set for ages 7 and up. Its centerpiece is a pale oak tree with moss, eye blossom flowers and resin. The creaking heart hides inside, and kids can remove the bark or push a pin on the back to eject it. LEGO lists 4 characters: a brick-built creaking, Mothman with elytra wings and an enchanted axe, a Creeper, and a skeleton in diamond armor with a bow. The model stands over 5 in. (12 cm) high.

We found no owner reviews yet. Brickset shows 21 member ratings but no written reviews, and we could not read LEGO.com reviews. We also found no hands-on review on the fan sites we checked, so we cannot report on build quality or how well the eject feature works.

It suits a 7 to 10 year old who plays Minecraft and wants a small scene with a play feature and several characters. Skip it if your child does not know the game, or if you want a larger build to display.
