Blokees Transformers Action Edition 06 Optimus Prime (Transformers: Prime)

Action Edition 06 is Blokees' 328-piece snap-fit kit of Optimus Prime as he looks in the Transformers: Prime cartoon, rated 14+ and listed at $39.99. Blokees includes arm cannons, the Star Saber, alternate faces and hands, and a stand, and a magnet lights the chest and eyes. Blokees says the elbows bend up to 160 degrees. It is the show-accurate Prime of the Action Edition line, where AE01 and AE07 lean on the G1 cartoon look.

We read the 137 owner reviews on Blokees' store; 106 give five stars and 12 give three or fewer. Owners praise the show accuracy and the swap-in shoulders and chest windows. The repeated complaint is the arms: several owners say they pop off while posing unless pushed fully into the socket, and others call the part fit very tight, with one owner saying the magnet only lit the chest after removing the Matrix.

It suits Transformers: Prime fans 14 and up who enjoy a long build and mostly display their figures. Skip it if the builder wants a kit for rough play, or has little patience for stiff parts.

Before ordering, confirm that the listing says Action Edition 06 and Transformers: Prime. AE01 and AE07 use different Optimus designs. This package makes sense when the show's silhouette, the Star Saber and the arm cannons matter more than having the quickest first build. It is a named kit, not a blind box.

Plan an uncluttered build area and storage for the alternate parts. Seat the joints according to the instructions before testing a pose, given the fit issues owners reported in the research above. For a fitted display case, request the assembled height from the seller; the shipping-box dimensions do not establish the figure's finished height.
