For most Transformers fans, a $19.99 Blokees Classic Class kit is the place to start: about 5 inches tall, light-up eyes, an hour to build. Spend $40 for a 7-inch Action Edition centerpiece, or under $15 for a blind box or a Blokees Wheels truck. One thing to know before you give any of them: none of the kits in this guide change between robot and vehicle. They’re built for posing, not converting.
We grouped 35 kits by budget below. Prices are list prices when we checked in October 2026, and every kit links to ToyNoble’s researched review.
Two makers dominate the kits ToyNoble covers, and they sell very different things.
Blokees makes snap-fit kits you build from the runner, with no glue or paint. Geek Culture’s guide to the Blokees lines compares its small Classic Class kits to Bandai’s HG Gundam scale and its Action Edition to Bandai’s MG line, “except with a much more accessible building experience.” Blokees also sells blind boxes, boxed sets and 1:64 vehicles.
Yolopark sells AMK figures as pre-assembled model kits. Its FAQ explains that the core structure comes “already built at the factory,” so you attach armor, weapons and accessories rather than hundreds of parts.

What are the picks under $15?

Blokees Wheels CT01: the trailer opens into a repair bay with Roller.
Small budgets get a real build here, not a keychain.
- **Blokees Wheels CT01 Optimus Prime, $12.99, ages 9+.** A 78-piece 1:64 truck, trailer and Roller. It stays a truck; there’s no robot mode. Suits a younger fan who likes trucks more than robots.
- **Galaxy Version 01 Roll Out, $8.99 a box, ages 10+.** One random G1 robot from a nine-bot lineup. Suits a G1 fan who enjoys the surprise. Skip if they want one specific character.
- **Galaxy Version 05 ONE, $8.99 a box, ages 10+.** The Transformers One cast: Optimus, Orion Pax, B-127, D-16 and more. The Blokees Galaxy Version 05 page lists Optimus at 1 in 12, the rest at 1 in 9, and a chase at 1 in 36.
- **Galaxy Version 11 The Lost Light, $8.99 a box, ages 10+.** IDW comic characters, 43 to 52 pieces per kit.
- **Shining Version 01 Shining Roll Out, $12.99 a box, ages 10+.** Six light-up characters per wave, with glowing eyes and chest on most kits.
- **Shining Version 02 Shining 1985, $12.99 a box, ages 10+.** G1 toy colors, including Sunstorm. One owner had two figures with weak batteries, so test the lights when you open each box.
Blind boxes repeat. A buyer in an r/Blokees thread asked whether a 9-box Galaxy set guarantees all nine characters; the reply said you’d get all nine and might or might not get the variant. Our guide to collecting blind boxes on a budget covers that math.
What are the picks from $15 to $25?
This is the sweet spot for most gifts. Every pick here is $19.99 unless noted, and you can see the full line in every Classic Class kit.
Owners like these for short builds. One Classic Class 23 owner says the build took about an hour, and Blokees’ FAQ gives 30 to 60 minutes for Starscream. The weak spot is small joints: owners of Classic Class 14 report arms or small parts that come loose.
If you can’t decide between Classic, Champion and Action Edition, our comparison of the three Blokees lines lays out price per piece, build time and shelf space.
What are the picks from $25 to $40?

Yolopark AMK Optimus Primal: 18 cm, with weapons that launch from his back and arms.
Here you choose between a bigger build, a bigger figure, or a whole set.

What are the picks over $40?

Yearly Version Dinobot Desertion: eight gold-finish kits in one $89.99 box, no random draw.
- **Blokees Wheels C01 Roll Out!, $41.88 for 12, ages 9+.** The Blokees Wheels C01 page lists 1:64 cars with standard-size wheels that swap between cars. Owners like the weight of the high-density material.
- **Blokees Wheels C04 Heart of the Ark, $41.88, ages 9+.** Bumblebee, Soundwave, Astrotrain and nine more. One owner expected all 16 models and got 12, so know that specials are random.
- **Yolopark AMK PRO G1 Optimus Prime, $49.99, ages 15+.** Pre-assembled, 20 cm, with die-cast metal armor parts and 35 points of articulation. Several owners report finger problems; owners praise the weight and light-up head.
- **Blokees Defender Version 2026 Christmas Advent Calendar, $79.99, ages 8+.** Twenty-five days of Defender kits, including five Combaticon vehicles that combine into Bruticus. Unlike blind boxes, Blokees lists the full contents.
- **Blokees Yearly Version 2026 Dinobot Desertion, $89.99, ages 10+.** All five Dinobots plus three Defender kits, in a gold finish. One owner felt the price was high because three kits are the smaller Defender size.
-
Devastator or Bruticus combiner. The Devastator combining accessory is $4.99, but it needs vehicles from Defender Version 01, 02 and 03; Blokees lists the bundle at $112.63.

Galaxy 05 owners in ToyNoble’s review notes say heads only fit their matching chests, so mixing parts between figures is limited.
What ages do the boxes list?
Box ages vary more than you’d expect, even inside one brand:
-
8+: Defender Version sets, the advent calendar, AMK Rhinox.
-
9+: Blokees Wheels.
-
10+: Galaxy and Shining Version, Yearly Version.
-
12+: Classic Class 09 to 18.
-
14+: Classic Class 20 and up, Champion Class, Action Edition.
-
15+: Most Yolopark AMK and AMK PRO figures.
Blokees pages carry the warning “WARNING! Small parts. Not for children under 3 years.”
The CPSC fact sheet on the Child Safety Protection Act explains why small-parts labels appear on toys. Blokees also advises keeping loose batteries from light-up kits away from young children. Follow the box age, and choose the 8+ and 9+ lines for a younger fan.
What do owners say after building them?
ToyNoble’s reviews summarize owner feedback, mostly from the makers’ own stores. Patterns across the Transformers kits:
-
Short builds are the draw. Classic Class owners describe calm, hour-long builds; a parent says Action Edition 04 took their son almost eight hours.
-
Small joints are the weak point. Snapped knees on DX Classic Class 21, loose arms on Classic Class 14, a broken leg joint reported on the Dinobot set.
-
Lights vary. Shining Version owners report occasional weak batteries; Soundwave owners love the voice lines, though one says the voice box stopped working the first day.
-
Not transforming surprises some buyers. Galaxy Version owners note it.
A Reddit comparison of Classic Class and Yolopark AMK Mini figures adds a price angle: in the Philippines, the AMK Minis cost far less than the Blokees kits, while the poster gave Blokees the edge on head sculpts and liked that its light-up kits include batteries.
Blokees Wheels CT01 ($12.99, 9+) or a $35.88 Defender Version set (8+). Both match the box age and build quickly.

Yolopark AMK Optimus Primal ($26.99) and Megatron ($32.99) face off well; Defender Version 06 adds a small-scale cast.

We add new Transformers kits to our model kit reviews as they arrive.
Start with the version of the character, then the build. Optimus Prime from Transformers: Prime has a different silhouette and accessories from the G1-inspired Ver.EVO. Soundwave and Tarn bring different characters to a shelf, so they are alternatives for fans of those designs rather than interchangeable Optimus upgrades.
Action Edition makes sense when the recipient enjoys assembly and intends to display the finished figure. AE06 has 328 pieces and includes the Star Saber and arm cannons. The extra parts increase the project size, but they do not make it a better purchase for someone who wants a quick build or a toy for rough play. For a lower-commitment start, compare the Classic Class options earlier in this guide.
Buy the named edition shown on the card. A combining accessory is a separate purchase from a complete figure or a full wave of blind boxes. Check the selected package and final delivered total before paying. Our individual reviews keep the assembly and owner-report caveats alongside the specifications.

FAQs
None of the Blokees and Yolopark kits in this guide change between robot and vehicle. They’re designed for posing in one mode.
Galaxy Version owners note in reviews that the figures don’t transform, and Yolopark lists its AMK figures as robot mode only. Blokees Wheels kits go the other way: they’re vehicles with no robot mode. Some sets include a separate vehicle kit for a character, like the small Megatron vehicle packed with Classic Class 16 Starscream, so you can show both forms side by side.
If the fan wants to convert a figure back and forth, a transforming action figure is a better gift than a model kit.
What is the difference between Blokees and Yolopark AMK?
Blokees kits are snap-fit kits you build from parts; Yolopark AMK figures arrive mostly pre-assembled, and you finish a few steps.
Yolopark’s FAQ says the core structure is “already built at the factory,” so you attach armor, weapons and accessories. Blokees Classic Class kits have 71 to 107 parts and Action Edition kits 188 to 364. AMK figures are taller for the price (18 to 22 cm for $26.99 to $32.99), while Blokees offers more characters and lighting features.
Choose Blokees if the fun is building, and Yolopark if the fun is posing a big figure the same day. Both makers rate most of these kits for teens and adults.
On ToyNoble, a Blokees Galaxy Version blind box at $8.99 is the lowest-priced kit, followed by the $12.99 Wheels CT01 and Shining Version boxes.
Galaxy boxes hold one random small robot from a nine-character wave, rated 10+. The Wheels CT01 Optimus truck is a named box, so you know what you’re getting, and it’s rated 9+. For a named robot you build yourself, Classic Class kits start at $19.99.
Pick the named $12.99 or $19.99 box if the fan has one favorite character. A blind box works better as a small add-on than as the main gift, because the recipient can’t choose who they get. If you do buy singles, buy two or three so a repeat doesn’t end the fun.
Yes. Most Blokees Transformers kits are rated 14+, and adults are a big part of the audience, especially for Action Edition.
Geek Culture compares Action Edition to Bandai’s Master Grade Gunpla with an easier build. The 7-inch kits have 188 to 364 parts, magnetic lights and 45 to 72 points of articulation. One owner who usually builds Master Grade Gunpla says Action Edition 01 went together without nippers or sanding.
Start with one $39.99 Action Edition and see whether the multi-hour build suits you. If shelf space is tight, a $19.99 Classic Class kit gives the same characters at about 5 inches. Collectors who prefer finished figures often pick Yolopark’s AMK PRO line instead.
It depends on the line: 8+ for Blokees Defender and AMK Rhinox, 9+ for Wheels, 10+ for Galaxy and Shining, 12+ or 14+ for Classic and Champion Class, and 15+ for most AMK figures.
These are the makers’ ages printed on each box. Blokees kits also carry a small-parts warning for children under 3, and light-up kits use small batteries that should be kept away from young children. Builds take more patience as the age rating rises.
Follow the age on the box, and supervise younger builders, especially with light-up kits. For a fan under 12, the 8+ to 10+ lines give a real build without the small joints of the teen kits.
From a few minutes for a Defender or Galaxy kit to an hour for most Classic Class kits, and several hours for Action Edition.
Blokees’ FAQ puts Classic Class 16 Starscream at 30 to 60 minutes and DX Classic Class 21 at 2 to 4 hours. A Classic Class 23 owner says about an hour. For Action Edition, a parent reports their son spent almost eight hours on Action Edition 04.
For a gift, match the build time to the person: an hour for a curious newcomer, an evening or two for a hobbyist. Pre-assembled Yolopark AMK figures take the least time of all.
Is a Defender Version set or a Galaxy Version blind box better value?
For a full lineup, the Defender set is cheaper: $35.88 for 12 small kits, against $80.90 for a nine-box Galaxy whole set.
Defender kits are about 2.17 inches tall, roughly half the height of Galaxy kits per TFWiki, so you get more figures but smaller ones. Galaxy boxes are sold singly at $8.99, which suits a fan who wants one or two. Blokees’ FAQ for Defender Version 06 says a set has no duplicates.
Buy Defender sets for a crowded shelf and Galaxy singles for a quick surprise. If you want a combiner, Defender is the only one of the two that builds toward Devastator or Bruticus, with a $4.99 combining part.
Most Blokees Classic Class, Shining Version and Action Edition kits light up, and so does the Yolopark AMK PRO G1 Optimus Prime.
Classic Class kits list light-up eyes and often chests, with battery modules included on several. Action Edition kits use a magnet to switch on eyes and chest lights, and Soundwave adds voice lines. The AMK PRO Optimus has eyes with three light modes, and its batteries aren’t included.
Test the lights when you open the box so any fault is reported quickly. Shining Version owners have reported weak batteries on a few figures, and a quick check lets you contact the seller while the box is fresh. Keep spare batteries away from young children.
