Our verdict

Classic Class 17 is Soundwave from Transformers One, an 85-piece snap-fit kit about 4.92 inches tall, rated 12+ at $19.99. Blokees lists light-up eyes and chest with battery modules included, 20 movable joints with pull-down hips, an opening chest plate, weapons, swap hands, blast effects and two stands. The opening chest is what sets him apart from Classic Class 18 Shockwave, released with him.

We read 15 owner reviews on Blokees' store; 14 give five stars. Owners describe a quick, calming build and praise how closely it follows the movie design and how the lights look. The one four-star review says an arm was brittle and broke off.

It suits Transformers One fans 12 and up, and adults who want a short build to unwind. Skip it if you want the G1 Soundwave look; Blokees sells that as Action Edition 03, already reviewed on ToyNoble.
