What we like and what to keep in mind
What we like
- Ratchet winch drops fast and winds back up easily
- No stickers: all decoration is printed
- Sliding doors on both sides and a fold-down rear ramp
Keep in mind
- A Brickset member finds the four-blade rotor too short
- No stretcher included, as Brickset's review points out
- The life raft adds pieces but, per one owner, little play
How we reviewed it
What owners say.
- 1 positive
- 2 mixed
Paraphrased from public owner reviews. Each one links to where it was posted.
A Brickset member ranks it alongside 60166 as the strongest City coast guard helicopter, with better proportions than earlier versions and a clever ratchet winch that lowers fast and winds back up easily.
The same member feels the life raft is many pieces that do little and that the set needs a second vehicle or boat, so it sits at the weak end of City value for what you get.
Brickset's reviewer, who teaches sea survival, likes the all-printed parts and hidden winch release, but wishes a stretcher were included and says the winch belongs on the right side.
